Innovator Ian Schrager and Marriot International have partnered to create the design-forward Residences at the Tampa EDITION and hotel which will anchor the Water Street Tampa neighborhood and will feature a rooftop pool with adjacent bar and restaurant as well as an expansive spa and fitness center. The Residencies at the Tampa EDITION are intimate, private homes situated above The Tampa EDITION hotel. Only 37 exclusive Tampa EDITION luxury condo residences are available. The residences occupy the top 15 floors of a 27-story tower with a 173-room Marriott Edition luxury hotel at its base. The Tampa EDITION condominium are located at the northwest corner of Channelside Drive and Water Street, across the street from Amalie Arena.
Residence owners have exclusive access to the full range of services and amenities of The Tampa EDITION, with their own private entrance to the property, distinct from the hotel lobby. Each Tampa EDITION condo includes a private terrace with views of the Tampa skyline and Hillsborough Bay. Owners have access to the hotel’s rooftop pool, spa and fitness center, as well as its rooftop bar and ground-floor restaurants. The Tampa EDITION offers multiple social and amenitity spaces for guests and residences, including an expansive spa and fitness center. A rooftop pool on top of the hotel with an indoor and outdoor bar and restaurant is becoming a culinary destiation within the neighborhood. Additionallly, as has bee done in other EDITION hotels around the world, the Ian Schrager Company curated and programed a range of additional restaurant and entertainment spaces, including a lobby bar, lounge, market and entertainment venue.
Like the Edition hotel, The Residences at the Tampa EDITION condos were created through a partnership between Marriott International and hotelier Ian Schrager, known for his extravagant and bohemian makeover of New York City’s Grammercy Park Hotel. Along with similar residences in Miami Beach and West Hollywood in Los Angeles, the Tampa project is the third such set of Edition-branded residences in the US.
Strategic Property Partners, the development company launched by Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik and Cascade Investment, the capital fund owned by Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates partnered with Marriott. Aside from collaboration from Ian Schrager, the project was being designed by New York architect Morris Adjmi in association with the Florida firm Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates, with Roman & Williams doing the interiors. The Residences at the Tampa EDITION is the city’s first hotel-branded condominiums.
